Fashion Designer

We are looking for an experienced and creative Fashion Designer to join the team at Marc Jacobs. You will be responsible for designing and developing high-end, fashion-forward clothing collections that capture the essence of the Marc Jacobs brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering quality products. This is an exciting opportunity to design beautiful clothing that will be worn around the world. The successful candidate will have a degree in fashion design, or a related field, and at least 3 years of professional experience in the fashion industry. You should have excellent knowledge of current fashion trends and techniques, as well as experience in creating collections that capture the essence of a brand. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the design team. Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop high-end, fashion-forward clothing collections that capture the essence of the Marc Jacobs brand.
2. Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends and techniques.
3. Collaborate with other members of the design team to ensure quality products.
4. Execute design ideas from concept to completion.
5. Manage and track progress on projects to ensure deadlines are met.
6. Maintain organized files of fashion sketches, fabric swatches, and design notes.
7. Assist with fabric and color selections.
8. Provide technical patternmaking guidance.
9. Monitor garment construction and fit.
10. Create mood boards and presentations for design meetings.
