Fashion Buyer

Marc Jacobs is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Fashion Buyer to join our team. As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for planning, selecting, and purchasing merchandise to be sold in our stores. You will be an integral part of the buying team, working closely with other department heads and team members to plan and purchase merchandise that meets our customer’s needs and our company’s goals.To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of three years’ experience in a buying or merchandising role, preferably in the fashion industry. A keen eye for detail and a passion for the fashion industry are essential. You will need to be organized, have excellent negotiation and communication skills, and have the ability to analyze data and identify trends. 1. Plan and purchase fashion merchandise that meets company goals and customer needs.
2. Analyze data and identify trends.
3. Negotiate terms and prices of merchandise with vendors.
4. Develop relationships with vendors to ensure quality products and timely delivery.
5. Keep up to date with current fashion trends.
6. Create detailed reports outlining product performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
7. Manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
8. Monitor stock levels and ensure that items are replenished in a timely manner.
9. Maintain accurate record keeping for all purchases.
10. Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to ensure that product selection reflects customer preferences.
