Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join our Madewell team! The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Madewell brand and possess the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of individuals. Our ideal Assistant Manager will have a strong customer service focus, be organized and detail-oriented, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. If you are an experienced leader with a commitment to excellence, we’d love to hear from you!Qualifications:• 2+ years of retail management experience• A passion for the Madewell brand and customer service• Proven ability to lead and motivate others• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day operations of the store, including staffing, customer service, inventory management, and loss prevention.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of individuals to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  3. Monitor customer feedback and use it to improve the customer experience.
  4. Monitor store performance and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  5. Create and maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
  6. Train and develop team members to ensure they meet and exceed performance expectations.
  7. Ensure the store is always clean and presentable.
  8. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  10. Support special promotional events and campaigns.
