- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Lyft's rideshare operations and associated variable expenses
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process for variable expenses, including driver incentives, vehicle maintenance, and fuel costs
- Analyze and report on performance metrics related to variable expenses, including cost per ride and cost per mile
- Identify areas for cost optimization and provide recommendations to senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business initiatives and their impact on variable expenses
- Lead monthly financial reviews with key stakeholders to discuss variances and potential risks/opportunities
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support business decision making and drive financial performance
- Stay current on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform financial strategies
- Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with other finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting and budgeting processes
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Financial Planning And Analysis, Preferably In The Rideshare Or Transportation Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Variable Expenses And Cost Drivers In The Rideshare Business.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Financial Strategies To Optimize Variable Expenses And Improve Profitability.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Financial Information To Stakeholders At All Levels.
