Job Description

  1. Develop and implement trust and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our community of drivers and passengers.
  2. Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program.
  4. Manage a team of trust and safety specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  5. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure policies align with local, state, and federal regulations.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with safety policies and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Respond to and investigate safety-related incidents, implementing appropriate actions to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to trust and safety.
  9. Represent the company in external meetings and discussions related to trust and safety policies.
  10. Communicate and educate internal teams and external stakeholders on safety policies and procedures.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
  12. Develop and manage a budget for the trust and safety department.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall safety of the Lyft platform.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Trust And Safety: A Successful Candidate For A Senior Manager, Trust & Safety Policy At Lyft Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Trust And Safety Department, Preferably In A Fast-Paced And High Growth Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Trust And Safety, Such As Data Privacy Laws, Content Moderation, And Fraud Prevention Measures.

  • Proven Track Record In Policy Development: The Senior Manager Should Have A Demonstrated Ability To Develop And Implement Policies And Procedures That Effectively Balance The Needs Of The Company With User Safety And Security.

  • Exceptional Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Will Require The Ability To Analyze Complex Data Sets And Identify Trends And Patterns Related To Trust And Safety Issues. The Candidate Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Develop And Implement Effective Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team. As Such, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Drive Results. Additionally, The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Complex Policies And Procedures To A Wide Range Of Stakeholders, Including Executives, Regulators, And External Partners.
