  1. Develop and implement revenue recognition policies for new products and initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze new business models and determine appropriate revenue recognition methods.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue in accordance with GAAP standards.
  4. Drive profitability by identifying new revenue streams and optimizing existing ones.
  5. Provide guidance on revenue-related matters to internal stakeholders.
  6. Monitor and analyze revenue trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to revenue accounting.
  8. Manage a team of revenue accountants and provide training and support as needed.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and auditors.
  10. Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  12. Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in revenue accounting.
  13. Handle any ad-hoc projects related to revenue accounting and new initiatives as assigned.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on revenue accounting matters within the company.
  15. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the revenue accounting team.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Revenue Accounting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Revenue Accounting, Preferably In A High-Growth Environment. They Should Be Familiar With The Challenges And Complexities Of Launching New Products And Be Able To Develop And Implement Effective Revenue Recognition Processes.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: This Role Requires A Highly Analytical Mind-Set, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Identify Trends And Insights. The Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze Revenue Reports And Provide Strategic Recommendations For Revenue Optimization.

  • Team Management Experience: The Revenue Accounting Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Revenue Accountants And Ensuring Timely And Accurate Revenue Recognition. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing And Developing A Team, As Well As Strong Communication And Leadership Skills.

  • Cpa Certification: A Cpa Certification Is Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Accounting Principles And Standards. This Qualification Is Highly Valued In The Finance Industry And Will Be An Asset In Managing Revenue Accounting For Lyft's New Products And Initiatives.
