- Lead a team of engineers: You will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring the team's overall success.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions: You will be responsible for researching, designing, and implementing new technologies and solutions that improve road safety and telematics for our platform.
- Ensure safety and reliability: Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all solutions developed by your team meet the highest safety and reliability standards, providing a secure environment for our riders and drivers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with other teams, such as product, data science, and operations, to identify road safety and telematics needs and develop solutions that meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: As an expert in road safety and telematics, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our platform.

- Create and maintain project plans: You will be responsible for creating project plans, setting timelines and goals, and tracking the progress of your team's projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate updates and progress: As the Engineering Manager for Road Safety & Telematics, you will be responsible for communicating updates and progress to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures: You will be responsible for ensuring that all work done by your team follows company policies and procedures, including security and privacy guidelines.
- Represent Lyft in industry events: You will represent Lyft in industry events, conferences, and meetings, showcasing our innovations and expertise in road safety and telematics.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field, Such As Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Engineering Management, Preferably In The Road Safety Or Telematics Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Road Safety Regulations And Standards, As Well As Experience Implementing Safety Measures In The Transportation Sector.
Proven Track Record Of Managing And Leading A Team, With Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills.
Familiarity With Telematics Systems And Technologies, Including Data Analysis And Reporting, And The Ability To Use This Information To Make Data-Driven Decisions For Improving Road Safety At Lyft.
