- Develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance brand reputation and drive brand awareness for Lyft.
- Create and manage a comprehensive brand messaging and storytelling strategy that aligns with Lyft's mission and values.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key communication initiatives and opportunities.
- Serve as the company's spokesperson and cultivate relationships with media, influencers, and other external stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of all external communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, and thought leadership content.
- Manage and mentor a team of communications professionals to ensure high-quality and consistent messaging across all channels.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for proactive communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers to secure positive coverage and thought leadership opportunities for Lyft.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align messaging and ensure consistency across all marketing and communication channels.
- Drive crisis communication strategies and respond to media inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve Lyft's communication efforts.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement company-wide communication strategies and initiatives.
- Represent Lyft at industry events and conferences, serving as a brand ambassador and thought leader.
- Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure all external communications are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Continuously monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as needed to achieve desired results.
Extensive Experience In Developing And Executing Successful Product And Brand Communication Strategies In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Leading A Team Of Communications Professionals To Achieve Organizational Goals And Objectives.
In-Depth Knowledge And Understanding Of The Transportation Industry, Including Emerging Trends And Competitive Landscape.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Craft Compelling Messaging And Storytelling For Both Internal And External Audiences.
