  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive federal policy strategy for Lyft, in line with the company's overall goals and mission.
  2. Monitor and analyze federal regulations and legislation that impact the transportation industry, and proactively identify potential opportunities and risks for Lyft.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the federal government, including legislators, regulators, and industry associations.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between federal policy goals and business objectives.
  5. Communicate Lyft's federal policy positions and priorities to external stakeholders, including through written materials, presentations, and public speaking engagements.
  6. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on federal policy matters, including Legal, Public Policy, Communications, and Government Relations.
  7. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in federal policy related to transportation and technology, and incorporate this knowledge into Lyft's strategy.
  8. Represent Lyft in industry events and conferences, advocating for policies that promote innovation and inclusion in transportation.
  9. Engage with and support grassroots advocacy efforts and coalitions to advance Lyft's federal policy goals.
  10. Lead and manage a team of policy professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to support their professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Policy And Legislative Processes: The Ideal Candidate For A Director, Federal Policy Role At Lyft Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Federal Policy Landscape And Legislative Processes, Including Experience Working With Federal Agencies And Congressional Committees.

  • Experience In The Transportation Industry: A Successful Director, Federal Policy At Lyft Should Have Prior Experience Working In The Transportation Industry, With A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Opportunities In This Sector.

  • Strong Communication And Advocacy Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Communication And Advocacy Skills, As The Director Will Be Responsible For Representing Lyft's Interests To Policymakers And Advocating For Policies That Benefit The Company And Its Customers.

  • Proven Track Record Of Building Relationships With Government Officials: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Demonstrated Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Key Government Officials, Including Members Of Congress, Regulatory Agencies, And Industry Associations.
