Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Counsel to join our Product & Commercial team, specifically focusing on our Lyft Business and Healthcare verticals.   1. Conduct legal research and provide guidance on complex legal matters related to product and commercial law, specifically in the areas of Lyft Business and Healthcare.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and operations, to ensure legal compliance and support business objectives.
  4. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to advise on potential legal risks and opportunities.
  5. Assist with legal due diligence for potential partnerships and acquisitions.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to effectively provide legal support.
  7. Manage litigation matters, including working with outside counsel, and provide guidance on dispute resolution strategies.
  8. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Train and educate employees on legal matters and company policies.
  10. Provide legal support for marketing and advertising initiatives, including reviewing marketing materials and advising on compliance with advertising laws and regulations.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve legal processes to increase efficiency and mitigate risk.
  12. Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations with third parties.
  13. Conduct internal investigations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documents.
  15. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to provide strategic legal advice to the company.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Active Membership In Good Standing With The State Bar Association.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Product And Commercial Law, Preferably In The Technology Or Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Contract Negotiation And Drafting, Intellectual Property, And Regulatory Compliance.

  • Excellent Communication, Negotiation, And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
