- Oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations for Lowe's, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of deliveries to stores.
- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and supervise a team of transportation associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain, inventory, and sales, to coordinate transportation activities and meet customer demands.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain transportation policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all stores.
- Handle and resolve any transportation-related issues or concerns, working closely with store managers and vendors to find effective solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in transportation technology to continually improve processes and operations.
- Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on transportation performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role In The Transportation Industry, Preferably In A Retail Or Distribution Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Transportation Regulations And Compliance Requirements, Including Dot And Osha.
Experience With Managing A Fleet Of Commercial Vehicles And Directing Drivers.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Transportation Employees.
Proficient In Using Transportation Management Systems And Other Software Programs To Track And Analyze Transportation Operations And Make Strategic Decisions.
