  1. Oversee all transportation operations for merchandise delivery to Lowe's stores.
  2. Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
  3. Monitor and track delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
  4. Manage a team of transportation drivers, including hiring, training, and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and performance.
  5. Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance.
  6. Communicate with store managers and other stakeholders to ensure delivery expectations are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
  7. Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to negotiate rates and ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
  8. Continuously review and improve transportation processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  9. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to transportation team members to maintain a high level of productivity and customer service.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations related to transportation.
  11. Maintain a safe and clean work environment for transportation team members and promote a culture of safety.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and a high level of job satisfaction among transportation team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Transportation Management: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing Transportation Operations, Preferably In A Retail Or Distribution Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Dot Regulations: A Transportation Supervisor At Lowe's Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations And Compliance Requirements.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Motivate And Manage A Team Of Drivers, Dispatchers, And Other Transportation Staff.

  • Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: Effective Communication And Problem-Solving Skills Are Essential For A Transportation Supervisor To Handle Day-To-Day Operations And Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Proficient In Logistics Software And Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Transportation Management Systems (Tms) And Other Logistics Software Is Necessary For A Transportation Supervisor To Effectively Manage Routes, Track Shipments, And Analyze Data For Performance Improvement.
