Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Sr. Manager - Indirect Tax to join our Tax team at Lowe's. As a key member of the team, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for providing expert advice on all aspects of indirect tax matters. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a tax environment, preferably within a retail setting. A CPA or MBA is a plus. The Sr. Manager must be proficient in current tax regulations and possess a comprehensive understanding of the indirect tax function. The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks is essential. The Sr. Manager - Indirect Tax will report to the Director of Tax and will be an integral part of the Tax team. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice on all aspects of indirect tax matters.
  2. Manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks.
  3. Analyze and interpret current tax regulations and advise on potential changes.
  4. Prepare indirect tax filings such as VAT and sales tax returns.
  5. Develop and maintain tax strategies and systems for compliance with indirect tax laws.
  6. Research and interpret complex tax issues.
  7. Identify and recommend areas for process improvement.
  8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of tax processes and procedures.
  9. Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
  10. Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
