Job Description

We are looking for a talented Sr Analyst - Freight Cost Optimization to join the Lowe’s team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who is a strategic thinker and analytical problem-solver focused on identifying opportunities to reduce transportation costs. This role requires a combination of strong analytical and interpersonal skills, coupled with a desire to help Lowe’s reach its business goals. If you have a demonstrated record of success in transportation cost optimization, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, logistics, or related field• 5+ years of experience in transportation freight cost optimization• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and present solutions• Ability to think analytically and strategically• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access• Working knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, and JDA

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data and develop strategies to reduce transportation costs • Monitor and adjust freight and logistics costs as needed to optimize cost savings • Identify and develop cost-saving opportunities through process improvement or operational changes • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure cost savings initiatives are implemented successfully • Track and report cost savings initiatives to ensure goals are met • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cost optimization activities • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to identify additional savings opportunities • Keep up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in freight cost optimization • Research and develop innovative solutions to reduce freight and logistics costs
