In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to help customers find the perfect solutions for their outdoor projects. Provide excellent customer service to all customers in the Outside Lawn & Garden department.
Use expert product knowledge to assist customers in finding the perfect solutions for their outdoor projects.
Meet and exceed sales goals by effectively communicating the benefits of products to customers.
Maintain a clean and organized department, ensuring all products are properly stocked and displayed.
Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on new products and industry trends in the outdoor living market.
Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
Proactively identify customer needs and offer appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and restocking products as needed.
Attend training and development sessions to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times while representing the Lowe's brand.
Strive for continuous improvement and finding ways to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
Use active listening and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints or issues.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Lawn & Garden Products: A Sales Associate In This Role Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Various Products And Tools Used In Lawn And Garden Maintenance. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Plants, Soil, Fertilizers, Pesticides, And Gardening Equipment.
Customer Service Skills: As A Sales Associate, The Ability To Provide Excellent Customer Service Is Crucial. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Effectively, Answer Questions, And Assist Customers In Finding The Right Products For Their Needs.
Sales Experience: Previous Sales Experience, Preferably In A Retail Setting, Is An Important Qualification For This Role. A Sales Associate Should Be Comfortable With Upselling And Cross-Selling Products To Customers, As Well As Meeting Sales Goals.
Physical Stamina: This Role May Require The Sales Associate To Work Outdoors And Lift Heavy Items, Such As Bags Of Soil Or Gardening Equipment. Therefore, A Certain Level Of Physical Stamina And Strength Is Necessary To Perform The Job Effectively.
Knowledge Of Environmental Factors: A Sales Associate Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Environmental Factors That Can Affect Lawn And Garden Maintenance, Such As Weather Conditions, Soil Types, And Plant Diseases. This Knowledge Can Help In Recommending Appropriate Products To Customers And Providing Helpful Tips For Successful Gardening.
