Greet and welcome customers to the store with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Assist customers in finding the right lawn and garden products for their needs.
Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of lawn and garden products to provide accurate and helpful recommendations to customers.
Actively listen to customer needs and concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Utilize effective sales techniques to promote and sell products, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring products are properly stocked and displayed.
Continuously expand knowledge of lawn and garden products to stay up-to-date and provide the best service to customers.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Lawn & Garden Products: A Sales Associate For The Outside Lawn & Garden Department At Lowe's Must Have Thorough Knowledge Of The Various Products And Equipment Used In Landscaping And Gardening, Such As Lawn Mowers, Trimmers, Fertilizers, And Plants. This Knowledge Will Allow Them To Assist Customers Effectively And Make Suitable Product Recommendations.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role As Sales Associates Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. They Must Be Able To Listen To Customers' Needs, Provide Accurate Information About Products, And Offer Solutions To Any Issues Or Concerns.
Sales Experience: A Successful Sales Associate Must Have Previous Experience In Sales, Preferably In A Retail Or Home Improvement Setting. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Sales Process, Build Relationships With Customers, And Meet Sales Targets.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In A Sales Role, And Sales Associates Must Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills. They Must Be Able To Communicate Product Information Clearly And Persuasively, As Well As Handle Customer Inquiries And Complaints Professionally.
Physical Stamina And Mobility: The Outside Lawn & Garden Department At Lowe's Requires Physical Stamina And Mobility, As Sales Associates Will Be Required To Assist Customers With Loading Heavy Items, Move Products Around The Store, And Perform Tasks Such As Watering Plants And Arranging Displays. Candidates For This Role Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Work On Their Feet For Extended Periods.
