- Receive and process incoming shipments from vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Stock merchandise on shelves and displays according to company standards.
- Maintain organized and efficient backroom storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure all products are properly placed and displayed.
- Inspect and report any damaged or defective merchandise to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide excellent customer service.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and update inventory levels.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient store operations.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding merchandise handling and safety.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and store layout changes.
- Assist with general store maintenance and cleaning tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily and weekly stocking goals.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and team members.
Experience In Stocking And Organizing Merchandise: A Qualified Receiver/Stocker Should Have Prior Experience In Handling And Organizing Merchandise, Particularly In A Retail Setting.
Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment: As An Overnight Position, The Receiver/Stocker Role Requires The Ability To Work Quickly And Efficiently To Meet Stocking And Inventory Goals.
Attention To Detail And Accuracy: It Is Essential For A Receiver/Stocker To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Accuracy In Order To Properly Receive, Label, And Stock Merchandise.
Physical Stamina And Strength: The Job Of A Receiver/Stocker Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Items, So Physical Stamina And Strength Are Necessary To Perform The Job Effectively.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Receiver/Stocker Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members And Supervisors To Ensure Smooth Operations. They Should Also Have Strong Teamwork Skills To Collaborate And Coordinate With Other Team Members To Complete Tasks.
