- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments during overnight hours.
- Stock shelves and displays with incoming merchandise according to company standards.
- Ensure accuracy and proper placement of merchandise on shelves and displays.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the receiving and stocking areas.
- Work efficiently and quickly to meet tight deadlines and ensure the store is ready for customers each morning.
- Communicate with team members and managers to ensure proper flow of merchandise and resolve any issues.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling merchandise and operating equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain knowledge of store layout and product placement to help customers navigate the store.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment by working collaboratively with other team members.
- Attend all required training and meetings to stay up to date on company policies and procedures.
- Follow inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: A Qualified Receiver/Stocker Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Warehouse Or Retail Environment, Preferably In A Stock Receiving Or Stocking Position.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Inventory Control And Management Practices, Including Receiving, Stocking, And Organizing Merchandise.
Ability To Work Overnight Shifts: As This Is An Overnight Position, The Candidate Should Have A Flexible Schedule And Be Able To Work During Late-Night And Early Morning Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Job Requires A Lot Of Physical Labor, Including Lifting And Moving Heavy Items, Stocking Shelves, And Standing For Long Periods. Therefore, The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle These Tasks.
Attention To Detail: Receiver/Stockers Are Responsible For Accurately Checking And Scanning Merchandise, Ensuring Correct Quantities And Quality, And Properly Organizing And Stocking Items On Shelves. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Perform These Tasks Efficiently And Accurately.
