- Receive and unpack incoming merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products.
- Stock merchandise on shelves and in designated areas, ensuring neat and organized displays.
- Rotate and restock items as needed to maintain proper inventory levels and ensure freshness.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track and monitor merchandise levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including backroom and receiving area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient stocking and replenishing of merchandise.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to identify any discrepancies.
- Communicate any stock shortages or issues to management in a timely manner.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling merchandise.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with locating merchandise and answering any questions they may have.
- Keep up-to-date with current and upcoming promotions and sales to assist customers with their purchases.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to receiving, stocking, and safety.
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in stocking and receiving operations.
- Train and mentor new team members as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and management, to ensure smooth and effective store operations.
Experience In Inventory Management: A Receiver/Stocker - Overnight At Lowe's Must Have Prior Experience In Inventory Management, Including Receiving, Stocking, And Organizing Products In A Retail Setting.
Physical Stamina: This Role Requires The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Items, Stand For Extended Periods, And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Attention To Detail: The Receiver/Stocker Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Check Shipments, Verify Product Quantities, And Properly Label And Organize Products On Shelves.
Time Management Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Time Effectively To Ensure Timely Stocking And Replenishment Of Products.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Receiver/Stocker Will Be Working Closely With Other Team Members, Vendors, And Customers To Ensure Accurate And Efficient Product Placement And Inventory Management.
