
Receiver/Stocker

- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Stock merchandise onto shelves, racks, and displays in accordance with planograms and store standards.
- Organize and replenish merchandise as needed throughout the day to maintain a clean and organized store.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise safely and efficiently.
- Assist customers with locating merchandise and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure efficient operation of the store.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with inventory management processes.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture by actively supporting and assisting colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and changes in inventory to provide accurate information to customers.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, loss prevention, and inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: A Receiver/Stocker At Lowe's Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Principles, Including Inventory Tracking, Restocking, And Cycle Counting.
Physical Stamina: This Role Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting, Carrying, And Stocking Heavy Items. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In This Role As Receiver/Stockers Are Responsible For Verifying The Accuracy Of Incoming Shipments And Ensuring That Items Are Stocked In The Correct Location. A Strong Attention To Detail Is Essential To Prevent Inventory Discrepancies And Maintain The Organization Of The Store.
Communication Skills: Receiver/Stockers Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Managers, And Vendors. This Includes Providing Updates On Inventory Levels, Reporting Any Issues With Incoming Shipments, And Collaborating With Others To Ensure Efficient Restocking Processes.
Time Management Skills: The Ability To Manage Time Effectively Is Important In This Role, As Receiver/Stockers Must Prioritize Tasks To Ensure Timely Restocking And Maintain The Flow Of Merchandise In The Store. This Includes Being Able To Work Efficiently And Meet Deadlines While Also Being Adaptable To Changing Priorities And Unexpected Tasks.
