As an Inventory Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores have the right products in the right quantities to meet customer demand. You will work closely with our purchasing and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and develop strategies to optimize inventory levels. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a drive for continuous improvement.   1. Forecast inventory needs for all Lowe's stores based on historical sales data, current market trends, and upcoming promotions.
  2. Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of inventory to stores.
  3. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize product availability and minimize stock shortages.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  5. Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  6. Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  7. Communicate with store managers and other team members to gather feedback on inventory needs and make adjustments accordingly.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices.
  9. Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and market demands to make informed decisions about inventory planning.
  11. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  12. Train and mentor new team members on inventory planning procedures and systems.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety, ethical standards, and inventory control protocols.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: An Inventory Planner At Lowe's Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Be Able To Gather And Analyze Data Related To Inventory Levels And Make Informed Decisions.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems Such As Sap, Oracle, Or Jda Is Essential For An Inventory Planner At Lowe's To Effectively Track And Manage Inventory Levels.

  • Experience In Forecasting And Demand Planning: A Successful Inventory Planner Should Have Experience In Forecasting And Demand Planning To Accurately Predict Future Inventory Needs And Avoid Stock Shortages.
