- Provide Excellent Customer Service: As the primary point of contact for customers at the checkout, the Head Cashier will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. - Train and Supervise Cashiers: The Head Cashier will be responsible for training new cashiers and ensuring that all cashiers are following proper procedures. This includes monitoring cash handling, returns, and exchanges, and providing feedback to cashiers to improve performance.
- Maintain Cash Register Accuracy: It is the Head Cashier's responsibility to ensure that all cash registers are accurate and well-maintained. This includes performing cash audits, reconciling cash drawers, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Handle Customer Complaints: In the event of a customer complaint, the Head Cashier will be responsible for handling the situation in a professional and timely manner. This may involve resolving the issue directly or escalating it to a manager if necessary.
- Monitor Inventory and Supplies: The Head Cashier will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed. This includes cash register rolls, bags, and other necessary items for the checkout area.

Cash Handling Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Handling Cash And Operating A Cash Register In A Retail Environment.
Leadership Abilities: As A Head Cashier, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing And Supervising A Team Of Cashiers. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are A Must.
Flexibility In Work Schedule: Head Cashiers Must Be Willing And Able To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, As Needed.
