Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as Head Cashier - Flexible. As the Head Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cash registers while providing leadership and support to the front-end team.   1. Manage Cashiers: The Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of cashiers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient cash register operations.
  2. Ensure Efficient Cash Register Operations: The Head Cashier will be responsible for ensuring that all cashiers are properly trained and following proper procedures for opening and closing registers, processing transactions, and handling cash.
  3. Provide Exceptional Customer Service: The Head Cashier will be expected to lead by example and provide exceptional customer service to all Lowe's customers, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Maintain Cash Management Procedures: The Head Cashier will be responsible for ensuring that all cash handling procedures are followed, including counting and balancing cash drawers, preparing deposits, and monitoring for any discrepancies.
  5. Supervise Front-End Team: The Head Cashier will be responsible for supervising the front-end team, including ensuring breaks and lunches are taken on time, managing schedules, and delegating tasks as needed.
  6. Train and Develop Team Members: The Head Cashier will be responsible for training and developing team members, providing ongoing feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and performance.
  7. Monitor Inventory and Stock Levels: The Head Cashier will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and working with the store management team to ensure that necessary products are stocked and available for customers.
  8. Create and Maintain a Positive Work Environment: The Head Cashier will be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among the front-end team.
  9. Handle Customer Complaints: The Head Cashier will be responsible for handling customer complaints or issues, escalating to store management as needed, and working to find a resolution that satisfies the customer.
  10. Uphold Company Policies and Procedures: The Head Cashier will be expected to uphold all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, cash handling procedures, and customer service standards.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Head Cashier Must Be Able To Effectively Manage And Guide A Team Of Cashiers, Ensuring Efficient And Accurate Transactions While Maintaining A Positive Work Environment.

  • Excellent Customer Service: Head Cashiers Are Often The Primary Point Of Contact With Customers, And Must Possess Exceptional Communication And Problem-Solving Skills To Ensure A Positive Shopping Experience.

  • Cash Handling Experience: As The Head Of The Cashiers, This Role Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Cash Handling Procedures, Including Counting, Balancing, And Depositing Cash And Credit Card Transactions.

  • Flexibility: A Head Cashier At Lowe's Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Customer And Business Needs, Including Adjusting Work Schedules And Assisting In Other Areas Of The Store As Needed.

  • Organizational Skills: With Multiple Cashiers Reporting To Them, A Head Cashier Must Have Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Schedules, Delegate Tasks, And Ensure Proper Coverage During Busy Periods.
