Oversee Cashiers: The Head Cashier will be responsible for managing and supervising the cashiers at Lowe's, ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively.
Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: The Head Cashier will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service from the cashiers.
Provide Guidance and Support: The Head Cashier will act as a mentor and coach to the cashiers, providing them with guidance and support to improve their performance and customer service skills.
Monitor Cashier Performance: The Head Cashier will regularly monitor the performance of the cashiers, identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback to help them excel in their roles.
Manage Cashier Schedules: The Head Cashier will be responsible for creating and managing cashier schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and making adjustments as needed.
Handle Customer Complaints: In the event of customer complaints or conflicts, the Head Cashier will be responsible for handling them in a professional and timely manner.
Cash Management: The Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing the cash management process, including counting and reconciling cash drawers and ensuring accurate transactions.
Train New Cashiers: The Head Cashier will be responsible for training and onboarding new cashiers, ensuring they are familiar with company policies and procedures.
Maintain Knowledge of Products and Services: The Head Cashier will stay up-to-date on Lowe's products and services in order to assist customers and answer any questions they may have.
Uphold Company Standards: The Head Cashier will ensure that all cashiers are adhering to company standards and policies, including safety protocols and customer service guidelines.
Collaborate with Management: The Head Cashier will work closely with store management to ensure the smooth operation of the cashiers and address any issues or concerns that may arise.

Job Qualifications

Retail Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Previous Retail Experience, Preferably In A Cashier Or Customer Service Role, Is Required For A Head Cashier Position At Lowe's.
Cash Handling Skills: The Head Cashier Should Have Strong Math Skills And Be Comfortable Handling And Counting Large Amounts Of Cash Accurately And Efficiently.
Customer Service Focus: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Customers At The Checkout, The Head Cashier Must Possess Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Resolve Any Customer Issues Or Complaints In A Professional And Timely Manner.
Leadership Abilities: The Head Cashier Is Responsible For Overseeing The Cashier Team And Ensuring That All Cashiers Are Following Company Policies And Procedures. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are A Must For This Role.
Attention To Detail: The Head Cashier Is Responsible For Managing Cash And Credit Transactions, Processing Returns And Exchanges, And Maintaining Accurate Records. This Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And The Ability To Multitask Effectively.
