Job Description

As a Head Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate and efficient cash handling.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the cashiers at Lowe's store.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to all customers by addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  3. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in cash handling procedures.
  4. Train, supervise, and lead a team of cashiers to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and delivering exceptional service.
  5. Create and implement schedules for cashiers, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels for cashier supplies, including cash drawers, bags, and register tape.
  7. Respond to any customer complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  9. Stay updated on all company policies, procedures, and promotions to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  10. Conduct cash audits and reconcile discrepancies, taking appropriate action to resolve any issues.
  11. Train and enforce proper cash handling procedures to reduce the risk of theft or fraud.
  12. Uphold a high standard of store cleanliness and organization at all times.
  13. Maintain a positive and motivating work environment for the cashier team.
  14. Serve as a role model for team members by displaying professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  16. Keep records of cashier performance and provide regular feedback to team members.
  17. Adhere to all safety and security protocols to ensure the protection of customers, employees, and company assets.
  18. Assist in hiring and onboarding new cashiers as needed.
  19. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  20. Other duties as assigned by the store manager.
