- Lead and manage a team of cashiers to ensure efficient and effective operations at the checkout counters.
- Train and mentor new cashiers, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees alike.
- Monitor and maintain cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with other store departments to ensure smooth and timely flow of customers through the checkout process.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of store products, services, and promotions to assist customers with their purchases.
- Ensure all checkout equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.
- Keep track of inventory and supplies needed for the checkout area and place orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cash registers and surrounding areas.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including balancing cashier drawers and ensuring the security of cash and store assets.
- Continuously monitor and improve checkout processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns or issues.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention measures.
Experience In Retail: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Cashier Or Customer Service Role.
Leadership Skills: Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Cashiers, Including Training, Scheduling, And Performance Management.
Cash Handling Skills: Proficient In Handling Cash, Credit, And Debit Transactions Accurately And Efficiently, Including Cash Counting And Balancing Registers.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Provide Exceptional Customer Service, Handle Customer Complaints, And Resolve Conflicts.
Knowledge Of Lowe's Products And Services: Familiarity With Lowe's Products, Services, And Policies To Assist Customers With Inquiries And Provide Product Recommendations.
