Job Description

As the Head Cashier, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-end operations at our store, ensuring efficient and accurate transactions while providing exceptional service to our customers.   1. Oversee Front-end Operations: The Head Cashier will be responsible for managing and supervising the front-end operations at our store. This includes overseeing the cashiers, monitoring customer flow, and ensuring efficient and accurate transactions.
  2. Provide Exceptional Customer Service: The primary responsibility of the Head Cashier will be to provide exceptional customer service to all customers. This includes addressing customer inquiries, resolving any issues or complaints, and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the front-end.
  3. Train and Supervise Cashiers: The Head Cashier will be responsible for training and supervising the cashiers at the store. This includes providing guidance and support to ensure that all cashiers are performing their duties accurately and efficiently.
  4. Handle Cash Transactions: As the Head Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions and ensuring that all cashiers adhere to proper cash handling procedures. This includes counting and balancing the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  5. Multi-tasking: The Head Cashier must have a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This includes assisting customers, answering phone calls, and managing the flow of customers at the front-end.
  6. Maintain Front-end Organization: The Head Cashier will be responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the front-end area. This includes monitoring inventory levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is in working order.
  7. Handle Customer Complaints: In the event of a customer complaint or issue, the Head Cashier will be responsible for addressing and resolving the situation in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Enforce Store Policies: The Head Cashier will be responsible for enforcing store policies and procedures, including those related to returns, exchanges, and refunds.
  9. Collaborate with Management Team: The Head Cashier will work closely with the management team to ensure that the front-end operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Cash Handling: A Successful Head Cashier At Lowe's Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cash Handling, Preferably In A Retail Setting.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Head Cashier, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Customer Service Skills, Including The Ability To Handle Difficult Situations, Are A Must-Have.

  • Leadership Abilities: This Position Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Cashiers. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In A Supervisory Or Managerial Role And Possess Strong Leadership Skills.

  • Knowledge Of Lowe's Products And Services: Familiarity With Lowe's Products And Services Is Essential To Effectively Assist Customers And Provide Accurate Information About Products And Promotions.

  • Attention To Detail: Head Cashiers Are Responsible For Overseeing Cashiers And Ensuring All Transactions Are Accurate. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Prevent Errors And Discrepancies In Cash Handling.
