Job Description

As the Head Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional checkout experience for our customers while also supervising and supporting our team of cashiers.   1. Oversee and manage the front end operations of the store, including the checkout process and customer service.
  2. Lead and motivate a team of cashiers to provide exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
  3. Ensure all cashiers are properly trained and knowledgeable about store policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor and maintain accurate cash handling procedures and inventory levels.
  5. Handle any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Collaborate with other store departments to ensure efficient and coordinated operations.
  7. Continuously seek ways to improve checkout efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  8. Uphold company standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization at the front end of the store.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Act as a role model for the rest of the team by demonstrating strong leadership skills and a dedication to customer service.
  11. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs for the front end, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  12. Monitor and track cashier performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  13. Maintain accurate records of cash and credit transactions, as well as any discrepancies or issues.
  14. Stay up-to-date on current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  15. Communicate effectively with store management and other team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Retail Experience: A Successful Head Cashier At Lowe's Should Have Previous Experience In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Supervisory Or Leadership Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Customer Service, Inventory Management, And Cash Handling Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail: With A High Volume Of Transactions And Cash Handling, It Is Crucial For A Head Cashier To Have A Strong Attention To Detail. They Should Be Able To Spot Discrepancies And Errors Quickly And Take Necessary Steps To Resolve Them.

  • Cash Handling Experience: A Head Cashier Should Have Experience Handling Large Sums Of Money And Ensuring Accuracy In Cash Counting And Reconciliation. Knowledge Of Proper Cash Handling Procedures And Security Measures Is Necessary To Maintain The Integrity Of The Store's Financial Transactions.
