Prevent theft and other criminal activities within the store premises.
Monitor and maintain security systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms.
Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the store to identify potential risks and suspicious behavior.
Interact with customers and employees to provide a safe and welcoming environment.
Respond to any security incidents or emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with store leadership and other team members to create and implement security procedures and protocols.
Conduct investigations into any reported incidents and provide detailed reports.
Train and educate store employees on security procedures and awareness.
Stay updated on current security trends and techniques, and make recommendations for improvement.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the job.
Communicate effectively with external law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Assist with the apprehension and prosecution of shoplifters and other offenders.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Proactively identify and address any potential safety hazards within the store.
Other duties as assigned by store leadership.

Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Successful Asset Protection Agent At Lowe's Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Control, And Alarm Systems. This Knowledge Will Help Them Identify Potential Theft And Fraudulent Activities Within The Store.
Strong Analytical Skills: Asset Protection Agents Must Have The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data To Identify Patterns And Trends That May Indicate Theft Or Fraud. They Should Also Be Able To Use This Information To Make Informed Decisions And Implement Strategies To Prevent Losses.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Job Requires The Ability To Stand, Walk, And Move For Extended Periods Of Time, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects. Asset Protection Agents May Need To Chase And Apprehend Suspects, So Physical Fitness And Stamina Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.
Excellent Communication Skills: Asset Protection Agents Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Both Customers And Store Employees. They Should Be Able To Diffuse Potentially Volatile Situations And Interact With People From Diverse Backgrounds In A Professional And Respectful Manner.
Attention To Detail: Asset Protection Agents Must Have Keen Observation Skills And Pay Attention To Detail. They Should Be Able To Identify Suspicious Behavior Or Activities And Take Appropriate Action To Prevent Losses. Attention To Detail Is Also Crucial When Reviewing Surveillance Footage And Completing Incident Reports.
