  1. Conduct regular safety and security patrols of the store premises to identify potential risks and threats.
  2. Monitor and track inventory to prevent and detect loss, theft, and damage.
  3. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
  4. Collaborate with store management and other team members to identify and address security concerns and implement solutions.
  5. Respond to and investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and other security-related issues.
  6. Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and law enforcement officials to de-escalate situations and resolve conflicts.
  7. Utilize surveillance equipment and other tools to monitor and identify suspicious or criminal activity.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents and activities.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  10. Train and educate store employees on security policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety and loss prevention.
  11. Conduct internal and external investigations as needed, gathering evidence and working with law enforcement as necessary.
  12. Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Legal, to address employee-related security issues.
  13. Monitor and report on security and safety compliance in the store, ensuring all necessary protocols are followed.
  14. Stay vigilant and proactive in identifying and addressing potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
  15. Demonstrate a strong sense of integrity and ethical conduct in all interactions and actions.

  • Knowledge Of Security Protocols: A Successful Asset Protection Agent Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Protocols, Including Surveillance Techniques, Access Control, And Alarm Systems.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Asset Protection Agent, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail In Order To Identify Potential Theft Or Fraudulent Activities. This Includes Being Able To Review Security Footage, Monitor Inventory Levels, And Conduct Audits.

  • Physical Capabilities: This Role May Require An Individual To Spend Long Periods Of Time On Their Feet, As Well As Lift And Move Heavy Objects. An Asset Protection Agent Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle These Demands.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Asset Protection Agents Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In High-Pressure Situations. They Should Be Able To Identify Potential Risks, Develop Solutions, And Take Appropriate Action To Mitigate Loss.
