Protect store assets: The primary responsibility of the Asset Protection Agent is to ensure the security and protection of the store's assets, including merchandise, equipment, and cash.
Monitor store activity: The agent will be responsible for monitoring the store's CCTV system and conducting regular patrols to identify any suspicious activity or potential security threats.
Investigate incidents: In the event of theft, fraud, or other security incidents, the agent will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, gathering evidence, and reporting findings to management.
Enforce store policies: The Asset Protection Agent will be responsible for enforcing store policies and procedures related to security and loss prevention, as well as educating and training employees on these policies.
Provide customer service: The agent will serve as a point of contact for customers regarding any security concerns or incidents, and will handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Collaborate with law enforcement: In the event of a serious security incident, the agent will work closely with local law enforcement to provide information and assist with any necessary investigations.
Maintain accurate records: The agent will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all security incidents, investigations, and other relevant information.
Conduct audits: The agent will conduct regular audits of store processes and procedures to identify any potential security vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
Stay updated on security trends: The agent will stay informed about current security trends and update store policies and procedures accordingly to ensure the safety and security of the store and its assets.
Act as a role model: The Asset Protection Agent will serve as a role model for other employees, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and security.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Communication, And Problem-Solving Skills.
Previous Experience In Retail Or Security: Candidates With Previous Experience In Retail Or Security Have A Better Understanding Of The Challenges Of Asset Protection And Loss Prevention. This Experience Can Also Help Them Effectively Handle Difficult Situations And Make Quick Decisions.
Knowledge Of Security Systems And Technology: Asset Protection Agents At Lowe's Are Responsible For Monitoring And Maintaining Security Equipment, Such As Cameras And Alarms. Having Knowledge Of These Systems And Technology Is Essential For The Job.
Strong Observation And Communication Skills: Asset Protection Agents Need To Be Observant And Detail-Oriented To Identify Potential Security Threats And Suspicious Behavior. They Also Need To Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Employees, And Law Enforcement.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours And Handle Physical Demands: Asset Protection Agents May Be Required To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays, As Well As Stand And Walk For Extended Periods. They Should Also Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, As Needed, To Perform Their Duties Effectively.
