Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the store premises, including the parking lot and surrounding areas.
Conduct regular patrols to identify any potential security threats or safety hazards.
Utilize CCTV cameras and other security equipment to monitor and identify suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to any security or safety incidents, including theft, accidents, and medical emergencies.
Collaborate with store management and other departments to develop and implement safety and security protocols.
Train and educate store associates on safety and security procedures and protocols.
Conduct investigations into security incidents, gather evidence, and work with local law enforcement if necessary.
Ensure the proper functioning of all security equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.
Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or losses to management.
Maintain accurate and detailed records, including incident reports and daily activity logs.
Stay updated on current security and safety trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with any safety or security concerns.
Act as a liaison between the store and external security agencies.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security policies and procedures.
Display a strong sense of integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Successful Asset Protection Agent Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Management, And Theft Prevention Strategies, To Effectively Protect Company Assets.
Strong Attention To Detail: Detail-Oriented Individuals Make Excellent Asset Protection Agents As They Are Able To Spot Suspicious Behavior And Identify Potential Risks To Company Assets. This Skill Is Particularly Important When Monitoring Cctv Footage Or Conducting Inventory Audits.
Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For An Asset Protection Agent To Collaborate With Store Management, Team Members, And Law Enforcement When Addressing Potential Theft Or Security Issues. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are A Must For This Role.
Ability To Remain Calm Under Pressure: Asset Protection Agents Must Be Able To Handle High-Stress Situations, Such As Confronting Shoplifters Or Responding To Emergency Situations. The Ability To Remain Calm And Think Quickly In These Situations Is Essential.
Experience In Retail Or Security: While Not Always Required, Experience In Retail Or Security Can Give A Candidate A Competitive Edge For An Asset Protection Agent Position. Familiarity With Retail Operations And Security Protocols Can Help An Individual Excel In This Role.
