- Monitor and patrol the store premises to ensure the safety and security of customers, employees, and property.
- Utilize surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections to identify potential security threats or suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective security procedures and protocols.
- Provide a visible presence on the sales floor and act as a deterrent to theft and other criminal activity.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any reported incidents or suspicious behavior, documenting all findings and communicating with appropriate parties.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents and share with management as needed.
- Assist in training and educating staff on proper security procedures and awareness of potential risks.
- Respond promptly and professionally to any emergency situations, such as accidents, injuries, or alarms.
- Work closely with law enforcement and other outside agencies as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and local laws and regulations related to asset protection.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism at all times.
- Act as a customer service representative, assisting customers with any security-related inquiries or concerns.
- Continuously monitor and report on any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues within the store.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall safety and security of the store and its assets.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming shopping environment for all customers and contribute to the overall success of the company's mission and values.
Excellent Communication Skills: Asset Protection Agents Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Customers, Store Employees, And Law Enforcement Officials.
Knowledge Of Security And Loss Prevention Measures: Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Security And Loss Prevention Techniques, Including Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Control, And Theft Prevention Strategies.
Detail-Oriented: Asset Protection Agents Must Be Highly Observant And Detail-Oriented, With The Ability To Notice Suspicious Behavior And Identify Potential Security Risks.
Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Candidates To Be Physically Fit And Able To Stand, Walk, And Move Around For Extended Periods Of Time. They May Also Need To Lift And Move Heavy Objects As Part Of Their Duties.
Prior Experience In Asset Protection: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience In Asset Protection, Security, Or Law Enforcement Can Be Beneficial In This Role. This Demonstrates A Candidate's Knowledge And Familiarity With Security Procedures And Protocols.
