RN - Charge Adult Psychiatric

At Lovelace Health System, we are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Adult Psychiatric to join our team. This individual will be a key member of our psychiatric team, providing care to adult patients and managing the operations of the psychiatric unit. We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative individual who is passionate about delivering quality patient care and providing a supportive environment for our patients.The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an RN in a psychiatric setting, with a valid license from the State of New Mexico. The candidate must also have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.The RN - Charge Adult Psychiatric will be responsible for providing direct patient care, developing treatment plans, and managing the daily operations of the psychiatric unit. They will be expected to collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care to adult psychiatric patients, including assessment and monitoring of patient condition, developing treatment plans, and administering medications.
2. Manage the daily operations of the psychiatric unit, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and patient flow.
3. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
4. Monitor patient progress and document care provided in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
5. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate and efficient patient documentation.
6. Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
7. Educate patients and families about disease processes, medications, and treatment plans.
8. Participate in the development of policies and procedures for the psychiatric unit.
9. Participate in performance improvement activities and evidence-based practice initiatives.
10. Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices.
