
Orthopedic Surgery- Sports Medicine
At Lovelace Health System, we are looking for a highly qualified Orthopedic Surgery-Sports Medicine specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine, who will bring a combination of clinical knowledge and surgical expertise to our facility. The ideal candidate should have a passion for providing excellent patient care, possess strong communication skills, and have a willingness to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.The Orthopedic Surgery-Sports Medicine specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. This will include both pre- and post-operative surgical care, as well as non-surgical management. The successful candidate must possess the skills and knowledge necessary to provide comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care, including the ability to interpret imaging studies and other tests, perform arthroscopic and open surgeries, and provide patient education.The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a subspecialty certification in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). In addition, the candidate must be licensed in the state of New Mexico and have a current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration. It is preferred that the candidate have experience in sports medicine and/or arthroscopic surgery.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions using pre- and post-operative surgical care and non-surgical management.
- Interpret imaging studies and other tests.
- Perform arthroscopic and open surgeries.
- Provide patient education.
- Possess strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a valid Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, subspecialty certification in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS), valid license in the state of New Mexico, and current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
- Possess experience in sports medicine and/or arthroscopic surgery.
- Provide the highest quality of care to patients.
