Current Enrollment In An Accredited Nursing Program: Applicants For The Nurse Extern Position At Lovelace Health System Must Be Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Nursing Program And In Good Standing.
Completion Of Clinical Rotations: Candidates Should Have Completed At Least One Clinical Rotation In A Hospital Setting, Demonstrating A Strong Understanding Of Patient Care And Basic Nursing Skills.
Cpr Certification: All Nurse Externs Must Hold Current Cpr Certification From The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Nurse Extern, The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Essential. Candidates Should Also Possess The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Others In A Fast-Paced Environment.
