  1. Oversee a team of physical therapists and support staff, ensuring they are properly trained, motivated, and providing high-quality care to patients.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and considering individual needs and goals.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
  4. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to therapists to improve their skills and performance.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
  6. Stay updated on current industry trends, research, and best practices in physical therapy, and incorporate them into the treatment plans and practices of the team.
  7. Act as a liaison between the physical therapy department and other departments within the healthcare organization, communicating effectively and fostering teamwork.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to physical therapy services.
  9. Participate in the hiring and training process for new therapists and support staff.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  11. Advocate for the needs of the physical therapy department and participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  12. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Represent the organization in a professional manner and serve as a role model for ethical and compassionate patient care.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures within the department to enhance efficiency and quality of care.
  15. Serve as a mentor and resource for team members, providing support and guidance to promote their professional development and growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree In Physical Therapy: A Lead Physical Therapist At Lovelace Health System Should Have A Doctor Of Physical Therapy (Dpt) Degree Or A Master Of Physical Therapy (Mpt) Degree From An Accredited Program.

  • State Licensure: The Lead Physical Therapist Must Hold A Current State License To Practice Physical Therapy In The State Where Lovelace Health System Is Located.

  • Minimum 5 Years Of Experience: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience As A Physical Therapist, With A Focus On Orthopedic And/Or Sports Medicine Rehabilitation.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Physical Therapist, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Guide A Team Of Physical Therapists, Therapists Assistants, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Advanced Certifications: Lovelace Health System Prefers Candidates Who Have Advanced Certifications In Areas Such As Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Or Geriatrics. These Certifications Demonstrate A Commitment To Continuous Learning And Staying Current With Industry Developments And Best Practices.
