- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff to the Behavior Medicine Center in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and relay important information to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining patient charts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and filed correctly.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and other healthcare providers to obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Monitor and order office supplies to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling meetings, conferences, and other events for the unit.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members, as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the unit manager or supervisor.
