  1. Provide compassionate and welcoming support to patients upon arrival at Loma Linda University.
  2. Assist healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care to patients.
  3. Monitor and report changes in patient condition to healthcare team.
  4. Help patients with daily tasks such as feeding, bathing, and dressing.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  6. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Follow all established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
  8. Respond to patient needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  9. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  10. Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to provide a seamless patient experience.
  11. Attend and actively participate in all required trainings and meetings.
  12. Continuously strive to provide the highest level of care and support to patients.
  13. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care.
  14. Proactively identify and report any potential issues or concerns related to patient care.
  15. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and their families.
  16. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the values and mission of Loma Linda University.
  17. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  18. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Assistant At Loma Linda University Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Skills In Subjects Such As Math, Science, And English Which Are Essential For This Role.

  • Completion Of A Certified Nurse Assistant Program: Prospective Candidates Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Nurse Assistant Program. This Ensures That They Have Received Proper Training In Basic Patient Care, Medical Terminology, Infection Control, And Other Essential Skills.

  • Cpr Certification: A Patient Care Assistant Must Be Certified In Cpr (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) To Respond Quickly In Emergency Situations. This Certification Must Be Current And Provided By An Accredited Organization.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Long-Term Care Facility, Is Highly Desirable. This Shows That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Healthcare Environment And Has Some Experience In Providing Direct Patient Care.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Patient Care Assistant Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. This Includes Being Able To Listen Actively, Communicate Clearly, And Show Empathy And Compassion Towards Patients.
