  1. Manage and maintain the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure efficient and secure storage and access to medical imaging data.
  2. Monitor the performance of the PACS and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  3. Develop and implement protocols and procedures for the use of the PACS, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.
  4. Train and educate staff on the proper use of the PACS and provide ongoing support and assistance.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of medical imaging data.
  6. Regularly review and update the PACS to ensure it meets the needs of the institution and stays up-to-date with technology advancements.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the PACS, including user access and system updates.
  8. Work closely with the IT department to ensure the integration and compatibility of the PACS with other systems and software.
  9. Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in PACS technology, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades as needed.
  10. Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to provide updates on PACS performance and any issues that may arise.
  12. Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to the PACS to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, in the performance of duties.
  15. Attend training and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management, Computer Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Previous Experience Working With Picture Archiving And Communication Systems (Pacs).

  • Knowledge Of Medical Imaging Technologies And Standards, Such As Dicom And Hl7.

  • Strong Technical Skills, Including Proficiency In Database Management, System Troubleshooting, And Network Administration.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Train And Educate Other Healthcare Professionals On Pacs Use And Maintenance.
