  1. Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.
  2. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Prepare and assist with procedures, ensuring all equipment is properly set up and functioning.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and medical history.
  6. Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  7. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and any necessary lifestyle changes.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  9. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in gastrointestinal procedures and nursing practices.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stored.
  11. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures.
  13. Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective patient flow.
  15. Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
  16. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and analysis.
  17. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
  18. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  19. Serve as a mentor and resource for new staff members.
  20. Continuously strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to all patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Gi Lab Or Endoscopy Setting

  • Advanced Certification In Gastroenterology Nursing (Cgrn) Preferred

  • Strong Knowledge Of Gi Procedures And Ability To Assess, Monitor, And Provide Care For Patients Receiving Gi Treatments And Procedures.
