We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our team and provide support and specialized care for our young patients. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping children cope with the challenges of hospitalization and promote their emotional, social, and psychological well-being. If you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Child Life or a related field, as well as certification through the Child Life Council, we encourage you to apply.   1. Develop and implement age-appropriate interventions and activities to help pediatric patients cope with the stress and challenges of hospitalization.
  2. Create and maintain a safe and child-friendly environment for patients and their families, including play areas and special events.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to assess the psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and provide appropriate support and interventions.
  4. Educate and support parents and caregivers on how to best support and communicate with their child during hospitalization.
  5. Utilize knowledge of child development and medical conditions to facilitate effective coping strategies and promote positive adjustment to hospitalization.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and organizations to enhance the child life program and provide additional support for families.
  7. Document patient interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
  8. Stay updated on current research and best practices in child life and pediatric healthcare to continuously improve services and interventions.
  9. Serve as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families, ensuring their needs are being met and their voices are heard.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to provide input and advocate for the emotional and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients.
  11. Maintain certification through the Child Life Council and adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Child Life Specialist Through The Child Life Council.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Child Development And The Impact Of Illness And Hospitalization On Children And Families.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Teams And Families.
