  1. Provide high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Assess and monitor patient's respiratory status, document findings, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  4. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care, equipment usage, and self-management techniques.
  5. Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and functioning to provide effective patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, progress, and outcomes.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  8. Continuously assess and improve clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  9. Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  10. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families, understanding the impact of respiratory illnesses on their daily lives.
  11. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by communicating effectively and working together to achieve common goals.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices to enhance patient care.
  13. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  14. Represent Lincare Holdings in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Either Respiratory Therapy Or Nursing Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Principles And Practices Of Respiratory Care.

  • State Licensure And Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Valid State License And Relevant Certifications For Respiratory Therapy Or Nursing. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Requirements And Has The Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job.

  • Experience In Acute Care Settings: Previous Experience In Acute Care Settings, Such As Hospitals Or Emergency Departments, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. It Shows That The Candidate Is Familiar With Handling Critical And Complex Respiratory Cases.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Respiratory Therapist / Nurse, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effectively Interacting With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Complex Medical Information In An Easy-To-Understand Manner.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Role Of A Respiratory Therapist / Nurse At Lincare Holdings Requires The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment. Candidates Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively To Provide Quality Care To Patients.
