  1. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized nutrition plans for patients based on their medical conditions and individual needs.
  2. Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and evaluations for patients, taking into consideration their medical history, current treatment plan, and dietary preferences.
  3. Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and how it can positively impact their health and recovery.
  4. Monitor and track patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient nutrition assessments, plans, and progress.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and research in medical nutrition and incorporate new information into patient care.
  7. Work closely with the food service department to ensure that patients' nutritional needs are met through the hospital's meal options.
  8. Collaborate with insurance providers to obtain coverage for medical nutrition services for eligible patients.
  9. Provide support and guidance to patients in managing any dietary restrictions or challenges they may face.
  10. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and provide input on the nutritional aspect of treatment.
  11. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to medical nutrition services.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the medical nutrition program at Lincare Holdings.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive patient information.
  14. Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
  15. Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in medical nutrition.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Nutrition Counseling Or Education.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Including Experience With Enteral And Parenteral Nutrition.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Counsel Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals On Nutrition-Related Topics.
