  1. Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' nutritional status and make recommendations for dietary changes or supplements as needed.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and disease-specific dietary guidelines.
  5. Keep up-to-date with current research, trends, and developments in the field of medical nutrition to enhance patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutritional assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  7. Work closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patients' nutritional needs.
  9. Develop and conduct nutrition education programs for staff and the community.
  10. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to nutrition services and patient care.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and their families.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve the nutrition program to meet the changing needs of patients and the organization.
  13. Act as a resource and mentor for other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based nutrition protocols.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field: A Medical Nutrition Coordinator At Lincare Holdings Should Possess A Strong Educational Background In Nutrition And Dietetics, With A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In The Field.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Be A Registered Dietitian (Rd) With The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Credential Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Education And Experience Requirements To Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy.

  • Experience In Clinical Nutrition: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Providing Medical Nutrition Therapy To Patients With Various Health Conditions. This Experience Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Develop And Implement Nutrition Plans And Provide Nutrition Education To Patients.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Reimbursement: The Medical Nutrition Coordinator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Its Role In Managing Chronic Diseases And Improving Overall Health. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Insurance Reimbursements And Be Able To Navigate The Complexities Of Insurance Billing For Nutrition Services.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Constant Communication With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Insurance Companies. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Position. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Team And Have Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills.
