  1. Deliver and set up home medical equipment in patients' homes in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with equipment, escalating to management when necessary.
  4. Train patients and caregivers on proper use and care of equipment.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment delivery, maintenance, and patient interactions.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure proper understanding and use of equipment.
  7. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, providing a positive and supportive experience.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  13. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours equipment delivery and troubleshooting.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Types Of Home Medical Equipment, Such As Oxygen Concentrators, Cpap Machines, And Nebulizers. This Includes Knowledge Of How To Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment, As Well As Proper Usage And Maintenance.

  • Technical Skills: A Home Medical Equipment Technician Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals, Use Hand Tools, And Operate Diagnostic Equipment. They Should Also Have A Basic Understanding Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems.

  • Time Management: This Position Requires The Ability To Manage Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks. Technicians May Be Responsible For Servicing Multiple Patients In A Day, So The Ability To Work Efficiently And Meet Deadlines Is Important.

  • Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Home Medical Equipment Technician Involves Frequent Lifting, Moving, And Assembling Of Heavy Equipment.
