1. Perform a variety of surgical procedures alongside the surgical team, including preparation of equipment and instruments, and assisting the surgeon during the procedure.

3. Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment by properly sterilizing and preparing equipment and instruments.
4. Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures, such as handing instruments and supplies.

6. Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, supplies, and patient information.
7. Continuously assess and improve upon surgical processes and protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
8. Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families before, during, and after surgeries.
9. Stay current on advancements and changes in surgical technology and techniques.
10. Mentor and train new surgical techs, as needed.
11. Adhere to all hospital and industry regulations and standards related to surgical procedures and patient care.
12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress environment.
13. Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
