RN - PACU, Afternoons

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a PACU RN for the afternoon shift. In this role, you will be responsible for providing post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery. 1. Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery.
2. Monitor patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
4. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU.
5. Assess and document patients' progress and response to treatments.
6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and potential complications.
7. Ensure all safety protocols and infection control measures are followed.
8. Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
10. Stay current with advances in post-anesthesia care and incorporate them into practice.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
13. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
14. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
15. Act as an advocate for patients' needs and rights.
16. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings as required.
17. Comply with all state and federal regulations.
18. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
19. Foster a positive and professional work environment.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by the nurse manager or supervisor.
