- Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients in their end-of-life journey.
- Work as part of a team to ensure patient-centered care and support for patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on palliative care and end-of-life options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care.
- Stay up-to-date with current best practices and evidence-based care in palliative care and Med Surg.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.

Valid Rn License: The Candidate Must Have A Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Where The Job Is Located. This Ensures That They Have Completed The Necessary Education And Training To Practice Nursing.
Palliative Care Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Providing Palliative Care To Patients. This Includes Managing Pain And Symptoms, Providing Emotional Support, And Working With Interdisciplinary Teams To Develop Care Plans.
Med Surg Experience: In Addition To Palliative Care Experience, The Candidate Should Also Have Experience In A Medical-Surgical Setting. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Care For Patients With A Wide Range Of Medical Conditions And Provide Comprehensive Care.
Availability For Prn/Hourly Night Shifts: The Job Requires The Candidate To Be Available For Prn Shifts, Meaning They Will Work On An As-Needed Basis. These Shifts May Include Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, So The Candidate Should Be Willing And Able To Work These Hours.
Compassionate And Empathetic: As A Palliative Care Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Working With Patients Who Are Facing Serious Illnesses. Therefore, It Is Important For Them To Have A Compassionate And Empathetic Nature, As Well As Strong Communication Skills To Provide Emotional Support To Patients And Their Families.
