We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors.As a Receptionist at LifePoint Health, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for all who enter our facility. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks and assist with the smooth functioning of our front desk operations.To excel in this role, we are looking for someone who has excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to multitask and manage a high volume of calls and inquiries.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or person.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for various departments.
  4. Check in patients and verify their personal and insurance information.
  5. Collect copays and other payments from patients and accurately record them in the system.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  7. Respond to patient inquiries and provide helpful information or direct them to the appropriate resource.
  8. Assist with patient registration and admission processes.
  9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of patient care.
  10. Handle and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  12. Follow all privacy and security procedures to protect patient information.
  13. Collaborate with the billing department to resolve any billing or insurance issues.
  14. Manage and order office supplies as needed.
  15. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents.
  16. Communicate and coordinate with other staff members to ensure efficient and effective front desk operations.
  17. Uphold the values and mission of LifePoint Health in all interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  18. Attend trainings and meetings as required to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
